Susan and I met on the first day of medical school. We gradually became close friends. Her humor, hard work, and generosity of spirit helped myself and others make it through a tough 4 years. After we moved to different cities, we talked on a regular basis. She was the maid of honor at my wedding in 2010. Regardless of what she might be going through, she remained connected. I will miss her dearly.

I want to thank the family once again for letting us be there today. Your kind words truly touched my heart. I truly felt closure today. Even thou i only met her for a few minutes she will be with me for the rest of my life. Thank you again to the whole family.

Susan was one of the kindest and most generous souls I’ve ever met. She loved to give to others and share her talents. I will continue to nurture a beautiful healing aloe plant that she gave me. It started with three tiny little plants and a year later has grown to fill an entire pot. I will miss her open heart and gentle spirit. Rest in peace dear Susan.

Susan was one of my first friends when I moved to Chicago in the mid-80’s. She was so quick and always loved to laugh. I remember being in awe when she went to medical school. We spent 6 weeks together traveling throughout Europe in 1990. I will always cherish these memories. My sympathy to her family.

Susie was a wonderful old friend who recently renewed our friendship. She had an infectious smile and we spend many hours laughing about everything you can think of. I will miss her laughter and candor. I will miss you and think of you often! Rest comfortably!!
